The policy for assessing fees is as follows:

Individuals that have completed an application for admission to full-time programs:
Assessment services shall be provided to these individuals (adults) prior to the admission to a particular program.  The fee for assessment services shall be delayed until the time of admission and will be considered to be part of the first semester tuition due for the program chosen by the student.

Individuals that have completed an application for entrance to a sequence of Adult Career Development courses:
Assessment services shall be provided to these individuals prior to enrollment in the first Adult Career Development course in the sequenced program they desire to enter.  The fee for assessment services shall be collected at the time assessment services are provided and will be credited toward the enrollment fees associated with the classes chosen by the student.  The credit for assessment fees paid will be available to the student for one calendar year from the date of assessment.

Individuals that do not fall into the above categories, i.e. anyone who has not applied for admission:
Assessment services shall be provided upon approval with payment due prior to the provision of assessment services.  Individuals supported by organizations having assessment/training contracts/agreements with Great Plains Technology Center may receive assessment services without payment provided their support agency has agreed in writing to cover the costs of such services.  If the agency sponsors the student for enrollment in a full-time program or sequence of Adult Career Development courses within a 12 month period from the date of assessment, the charges for assessment will be credited toward the tuition due.
